Most token pages flatten fee mechanics into one number. That is how people end up confusing pool fees, platform splits, claimable balances, and actual collected funds.
The path
A swap happens in a pool. The pool fee is a property of that trading path, not a direct payment to a founder.
Launch tooling, hook contracts, protocol settings, and recipient configuration can all affect how fees are described.
Claim rights are not the same as token ownership. They are a separate relationship to the fee path.
Common confusion
A page can show fees accumulating while the recipient wallet remains empty. That is not automatically a contradiction. It often means the balance is sitting in the fee system until someone with the right permissions claims or redirects it.
This distinction matters socially. If an unwanted token routes fees to you, claiming those fees can look like accepting the relationship. Leaving them unclaimed can be a deliberate signal too.
